About Us
Noël has been teaching pet obedience in Kitsap County since 1992 when she started teaching at Marilyn (Sipila) Gartin's kennel, who had a large influence on her teaching.
One of Noël’s first instructors, Pat Milton , along with Bonnie Green, helped Noël to achieve her first obedience titles on a Corgi and an Australian Shepherd.
Noël went on to teaching classes at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds and then in Poulsbo at Pat Milton's training center on Pugh Road.
Noël has been training and showing in competitive obedience since the early 90's. Since then, she and her Aussies have achieved many titles in obedience, agility, herding and Rally-O.
She has been involved with dog agility for the past 7 years; working and competing with her Australian shepherds: Jiggy (who also does herding trials with sheep, cattle and ducks) and Calamity Jane (who is all of the calamity and none of the Jane) and Yippee. Noël has been teaching agility (both group & private lessons) for 5 years.
Noël has also been involved with 4-H as a Project Leader and trainer for 10 years. She LOVES Polka-dots and Van Morrison! She is a breast cancer survivor. Click here for her story.
Mike Ritter, Business Manager, for Guiding Hands Pet Obedience, runs the business side of things and has recently started competing in agility with his Australian Shepherd, Stella.
